That was different than what I usually read and I'm very glad I did. I absolutely love the opening line of this - it's pure magic.

Just when you think it's this happy story, you craft a lovely, sort of haunting ending.

I hope you write more and don't forget to keep on eye on sentence length. ; )

As for the extra-long sentences, I try my best but -as you've noticed- I'm not very successful in cutting them down! Thanks for the tip, though. I'll try harder next time :)
