Potus Geeks St. Patrick's Day Edition

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you who have some Irish ancestry. Apparently there were 22 Presidents who had some Irish ancestry, some of whom will surprise you. For three of these (Taft, Harding and Truman), I have been unable to locate which ancestor of theirs lived in Ireland. Here is the list:

Indeed, especially considering that, in some parts of the nation at some points in history, being Irish wasn't necessarily a political asset.

Yes, exactly!
I was reading on my news feed this am a bit about Scotland. I don't understand why there are so many Irish and not that many Scots. Maybe because it is a smaller less populated area. But the read was that they want to break away from the UK. I find that area of the world so interesting!
