Jill Stein may have never held elected office above the local level, but she has influenced those concerned about the environment into taking action, both politically and as protesters. She has twice run for President of the United States and has been a major influence in the Green Party movement in the United States

how much of an influence is she?

I wonder how that compares to what people said about Stanton and Anthony a century ago. "Sure they make a lot of noise, but they still can't vote." Perhaps a century from now the environment will be more of a political issue than it is today and people will look back at the founders of the Green Party movement in the same way that we consider the early suffragists. Or perhaps no one will remember her and she'll be a footnote in the history books.

I know about Green - nice idea
but i don't recognize her name
she doesn't represent Green to me
She's not getting a spot on Rachel Maddow
