Argh, every moment I live is agony! I think a week of lifting heavy objects has finally caught up with me. I sit in my chair for a half hour, and when I stand up, I can hear all this creaking and cracking in my joints...it's like I'm an 80 year old man and I'm only 24. Sheesh, "take two boxes at once" he says, well now it catches up with me ( Read more... )

You should be happy that you missed cleaning out the basement. It was so bad that we stopped in the middle of it. Also, the old lady, who was digging through the trash, came back today and stole our recycling bins. Jim and I just stood in the regimental room and watched her in amazement. Of all the stuff out there, she takes two things that weren't technically being thrown out. As soon as we walked outside she jumped in her car and took off. Weird.

Every muscle in my body hurts!!!

Oh no, so the basement was that bad? I feel bad that I couldn't be there, but hey, if Jim had told me my last day there when the store was open, I wouldn't have made plans...Was he irritable again, btw? I hope he didn't make life TOO difficult for you...

What a stupid woman...Recycling bins, of all the things out there...I mean it's not like Greystone's needs them anymore, but still, it's common sense not to steal people's recycling bins. Lol, sounds like I missed an interesting day.

Oh, and so far, Northern Lights is spectacular... ;)

Let's put it this way. Some of the boxes down there had what we originally thought was dirt covering them until we realized that it wasn't dirt. Some of the boxes had basically turned into compost. We became concerned about our health. So we cleaned out the small room right at the bottom of the stairs and left the large composting room alone. Betty and Becky cleaned the house while we worked on the basement. I also had the pleasure of caring more stuff down from the attic. I thought my legs were going to rebel and jump off my body. He was very pleasant to work with yesterday! Don't feel bad about not being there to help. It's over and done with. Yay! Oh, now I have to find a new job though. Yikes.

Northern Lights rock. I can't wait for the sequel. :)

Well, that's pretty disgusting about the boxes...and it's funny, 'cuase I would've thought that above all would get him edgy, but he's an enigma, isn't he? So if there's still crap (literally) in the basement, I hope that's not gonna get anyone in trouble when the new people take over.

I wouldn't worry too much about the job, you'll get something. Plus, you've got the sewing gig til you get one, right?

Still working on Northern Lights (I know its written like a pre-school level book would be, but I've been busy in NJ).

Oohh!! Sounds fantastic. I mean, how can you go wrong with incest, the confederacy and silk dresses? Not to mention spying. We may have to read that one next. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

I dunno, that one doesn't have a boy band in it...

But I suppose if we limited ourselves to books with boy bands in them, we wouldn't have that much material, would we...
