Using 'created words'. darquehart September 23 2008, 17:49:42 UTC
You're fantastic for having gathered all this information together, but the thing that I keep running into is using the words the JKR created in a tense she never covered in her writing. The one that is currently stumping me is 'floo'. Using the word as a verb. Does one write it as 'flooed' or 'floo-ed' or even 'floo'ed'? I don't know grammar well enough to figure out just how it should be, could be written. Instead of saying, "Harry had floo'd to the Burrow to visit Ginny", we've been rewording it to get around using it as an action.

Floo isn't used as a verb in the books; it's always 'travel by Floo powder'. 'Flooing' is purely a fanon invention, despite its popularity :)
