There's also an add-on for Firefox called Right to Click, and a different one for Chrome (that I don't know the name of), if you use either of those browsers. :)

Sirius raises some valid points. The necklace could be cursed. But it's not like they couldn't check that, first.
Of course, I'm more concerned with how Sirius and Dumbledore are still alive if Harry's gotten the locket.

I think that what we are dealing with is an author who seems to think that by having Sirius and Dumbledore alive that it would make the story far better. Of course this kind of thing goes hand in hand with somebody who seems to be under the impression that having these two characters escape their canon fates is far better than what actually happens in canon. Oh and add to the fact that Sirius and Dumbledore seem to be alive for the sole reason that they are the author's favourite characters.

Of course this author also seems to think that an AU is changing canon. Which I do think is what happened in this case... along with the other reasons.

I don't like how this author brushes off Sirius in this way. In a way I suppose it is supposed to make her character look tough and intelligent?

This author was already featured on this blog... *points to profile of author and her stories* See anything familiar? ;)

I believe that this author doesn't really know what the meaning of AU truly means. Of course the way she does AU isn't completely wrong, but it is still annoying that she has to change everything about canon before she gets to the story itself. Sure, changing the fate of a particular character isn't entirely wrong. However most authors focus the story entirely on that character and explores what happens when the character gets a chance to survive what happened.

I mean that is my take on AU so I can be wrong.
