I feel that the character here is only showing off when she is saying these things. To me it feels like the stilted language of somebody feigning intelligence so that she could make herself appear all that in a story

The idea of doing the tale of the three brothers to commemorate the second war isn't even that original. They're not creating anything new, so it is hardly more creative than anything they'd done before. Even the way they dramatise the tale is fairly standard, no unique interpretations of the story or any dramatic devices of an unusual style. Not to mention the fact that the script is really kind of cardboard.

As an artist I find this fic highly insulting. They wouldn't be in the club unless they had talent, unless of course there was a stream of "there is no wrong way to create art" going on.
