What? Killer hail, that Harry survived, which means he's a Pheonix. I mean, it's not like Harry survived something worse than hail. No, because he survived a storm, it means he can never die.
Looks at the third chapter. Yup... that's pretty much what he survives. The "test" he goes through involves locking him up and starving him until he forms blue flames.
Chapter 4: Merlin shows up. Chapter 5: Poppy of all people betrays them to Voldemort Chapter 6: Involves practicing wandless magic and Dumbledore finding out about Poppy... oh, and harpy showing up. Chapter 7: Apparently Voldemort was "brave enough" to venture through the gates and place spy orbs around. Chapter 8: We then find out that Dumbledore married a woman named Morgana Snape and they had a child named Severus Chapter 9: Fudge talks about "their phoenix arriving in a strange vessel, a boy whose mad and things Voldemort is back".

I'm guessing they came up with the Poppy betraying them to Voldemort idea, from Peter betraying James and Lily.
