Oh sure, Harry's in-character.

Riiiiiiiight... how come these self-inserts never bother actually dating/writing the character they're supposedly in love with??

Oh, come on. For one thing, the Dursleys don't have a fireplace. It's electric. -_- So awful I can't even comment on anything else. *bangs head on keyboard. Repeatedly.*

Actually, after book 3 (I think) they had an electric fireplace; before that they had a real one.

>>Especially since book Harry was supposed to have green eyes...wasn't he?>>

YES. There is a great deal of harping on Harry's eye color, it's stated several times that he has GREEN eyes, and I think Movie!Harry has them as well.

No, that's one thing that a lot of people complain about - Harry is supposed to have green eyes, but Dan Radcliffe, who plays him in the movies, has eyes that are most definitely blue. Don't get me wrong, they're gorgeous eyes IMHO, but still blue. In the first film they tried contact lenses to give him green eyes, but Dan was only 11 at that point and they irritated his eyes so badly that they decided to film him without the contacts. Then they apparently tried tinting them green in post-production, but it looked really odd, so they just left them as blue ( ... )
