Hm, it always seems that Ron is always the character who is picked on. Ron is always the bad guy... somebody go sue JK Rowling for having a character who is easily relatable because he has faults. He isn't the strongest of the bunch... what would they do if he was like Edward Cullen? Worship the bloody ground he is on?
*grumbles about injustice to Ron.*
You know what? I am going to make up a story with Hermione being in the fault. I'll get flames on it but I had enough of seeing poor Ron being bullied and so out of character in stories.
*can't wait for the Girl who lived week.* My poor head and temper. Not that I have a temper of course.
SO this! I am sick of Ron-bashing! (I recently got into an argument over it with someone rather... unpleasant, so I'm especially sensitive at the moment.)
Speaking of Captain Sparklypoo and Twilight: Heartbroken and drunk, she decides to commit suicide as she believes her life has lost its worth.
Certainly this she is not Hermione Granger?! That's not something Hermione Granger would think or do? It must be Bella Swan instead!
I've gotten into an arguement with someone about character bashing before and they tried telling me it was an art form to which I replied character bashing occurs when a writer is unable to leave out their bias and not look at the characters objectively. For example, you can't argue that a person is bashing Pansy's character when she is acting in character and getting her just dues for the things she's said and done.
Considering some of the Twilight fans see Hermione as a weak character and Bella as a strong character, should this really surprise us?
An amusing side-note, Rowling gave Ron (and his family) the name "Weasley", because she liked weasels, and felt they were unfairly demonized... Kind of like Ron is now.
