On behalf of all pale people, I strongly object to the "disgustingly pale face". Why is being pale disgusting? Imagine the backlash if someone had written, "disgustingly dark face".
(Plus, Lilian? Lily is just Lily. It's not an abbreviation of any kind, it's a type of flower. Goodness.)
Well, a pale face can look unhealthy, if its the result of spending too little time in the sun. That being said, Snape's skin is described as sallow, rather than pale.
Unhealthy, maybe (I can't leave the house without blush on), but disgusting? Plus, spending too much time in the sun can totally ruin your skin - if anything, oompa loompa women look disgusting. Anyway, this Suethor offended me.
I made the same mistake. For a minute I thought ti was a really weird pun, and that the writer might possibly be a genius. I was bummed when I realized it meant I had just been spending way too much time in the shipping sections of TV tropes.
There is plenty of fail to go around, but I kept sticking on the fact that similar was misspelled as "simular". I'm sad to admit I spent a good 20 seconds trying to figure out what "simular fine silk outfits" were before I realized it was just a misspelling.
Well, it must be that you decide to try a dress, but you don't want to go shopping and you live in a space ship, so you use the holo deck and go to a simular store to get, among others, a simular silk outfit...
I feel both nerd and stupid at the same time. I didn't think it was possible.
This plan seems pretty weak. I mean, why six months? That's a long time to keep a hostage. Not to mention that most wealth was fairly liquid those days. If he has the money, it's not going to take him that long to put it together.
It'd make much more sense to grab a bunch of hostages and use them to take just all the money, jewelry, etc. currently in the house.
This is just an incredibly blatant trick to force James and Lily to spend time together so they can fall in love. ::rolls eyes::

Why don't you sing a song about it, honey? You have a wide variety to choose from:
"I want adventure in the great, wide somewhere/I want it more than I can tell..."
"When will my reflection show/who I am inside?"
"Is all my dreaming at an end?/Or do you still wait for me, Dream Giver/Just around the riverbend?"

Anyway...
"I say, Severus whose ship is that?"
I read that and got confused for a moment before realizing my error - and how I have been on the internet for far too long.
