::sigh::

Wow... you're a far braver woman than I am to attempt this radical new idea of slogging through one Mary Sue a day.

Far braver.

>>Now, I honestly can't remember if J. K. Rowling ever made any reference to what house Lily was in, but I know she mentioned James being a Gryffindor. What do you suppose is the likelihood of Lily Potter, former Head Girl at Hogwarts, one of the people who resisted Voldemort the longest, and who eventually died to save her baby son, being a Slytherin?<<

Okay while Lily's house has never been mentioned I don't see why she couldn't have been a Slytherin. My God I know they're not portrayed that well in the books but if every single wizard and witch who had that house was evil wouldn't the world have fallen to Voldemort's rule years ago?

I have a soft spot for the Slytherins mainly because they get such a raw deal.

They're not all evil, but they do tend to all be a bit mean and petty. I haven't come across any mention in the books of any Slytherins you'd particularly describe as nice or likeable, even when they aren't as nasty as, say, the Malfoy family.

Well the book is told from a Gryffindors POV, so I don't think we're really getting an honest look at the Slytherins.

Harry doesn't really like them, so they won't be portrayed in the best light.

In book 4 I recall Ron hissing at some poor first year simply because he was in Slytherin. I mean the kid didn't DO anything and he's already taking crap because of his house.

And wasn't Pettigrew a Gryffindor?

As I recall, the founder of Slytherin was himself not at all a nice fellow, and would choose people like himself to be in his House. But for the most part, point ceded. I will try to be nicer to the Slytherins in the future.

I still don't think Lily was one, though.

What is with MS Potters and Draco? Maybe it's just the seething rage I have for that smirking narcissistic wussy manbaby. (No, I'm not a Harry fan either. I think both need a good smack upside the head.) Jesus, he can't possibly be that good looking. Is it the mounds of cash and the idea of changing him into their own personal manbitch?

That's not what I was implying. *sigh* What I meant by the statement was that Slytherins tend to be nasty little characters who don't mind others getting hurt if it'll benefit them. I wish I hadn't mentioned it. >.< I'm very sorry, and will attempt to be fairer to the Slytherins in the future.

And I wasn't mad at you... it's just I've had a few other people mention that and was getting a bit annoyed at hearing it over and over. Not your fault at all. ^_^
