>>"Perhaps you should rest here for the remainder of the day where I can keep an eye on you" she said as she cast the spell to check my temperature once more. "It has gone down some but it was quite high when you first arrived thanks to the carelessness of our potion master.">>

When did Pomfrey become such a bitch? Even when the teachers dislike each other they at least try not to badmouth each other in front of the students. [Remember McGonagall's comment about Trelawny?]

Somehow I can't see Pomfrey chastising Snape for something that was really the students fault.

Ugh. However...

The worst sin it commits, however, is pity-whoring... oh, the poor little blind Mary-Sue! Not to mention a rather disgusting over-romanticization of blindness. Why do I get the feeling that somebody's been watching Daredevil?

The author mentions in her profile that she herself is blind and has been since birth. She may be making it up, but if not, I would hardly call her MS' blindness "romanticization."

Isn't this basically a takeoff of R.J. Anderson's Potionsmaster trilogy? I mean...the girl is blind and she falls for Snape...What more do you need?

As for the overdramatization of blindness, I'm not touching that one at all. I'm blind myself, so my opinion on the matter might not be all that objective, and besides it would require me to read the fic. :P

Not an offence against the Suethor, but most blind people I've met don't act like the Sue. By that I mean, they don't act like their blindness is a crippling factor and hate it when people treat them like they are an invalid.

and if you think the fic have too self pity, wait 'till the third chapter!:

''Once I had finished I summoned my owl using telepathy.''

Ladies and gentlemen, the shark has been jumped.

Since when did Snape ever even seem nice?
Also, having a blind main can be very interesting, but, especially if you're writing in first person, you have to describe her other senses like you would describe visual scenes for a non-blind main.
