Honestly, the only thing I know about British curriculum is the GCSEs. But then, I never wrote a fic about a Muggle student. *mutters about research-phobic plilistines*

*is LONGING to write a fic about a British transfer student to some American magic school, and to have it filled with things that would only ever happen in Britain...*

but unfortunately, I can't, because this fic has killed me. if you really can't be bothered to write a BRITISH story, just set it in the USA!!!!11! honestly, i'd rather have transfer students than this rubbish.

Hey... actually, if you wrote it, I would read it. I have seen so many Americanized British fanfics that I wonder what it's like to be on the other side. It would fascinate me. haha.

Oh, I haven't finished this yet, but it does say something about her eye color...

Why else are we different? Uhh…she’s tall. Yeah,Irena is very tall and I am a little on the short side. Uhh…she has brown eyes and I have blue-gray. Uhh…she doesn’t care what she looks like while I’m all about looking good for school. You know what? We are not that much different. I guess that’s why we’re best friends.

It's somewhere in that little paragraph... past the part about Bulgarians being totally awesome and stuff and things!

Sorry to bother you, but her hair is described as being dirty-blonde...*hides under a rock*

Keep up the good work Pottersues! This page is my daily humour. :)

I met my best friend, Irena, as I was walking to the park. She was the other half of my brain but yet, we were so different. Yes, we were both crazy and acted immaturely at times but we had our differences. For instance,Irena is a very smart girl. She spends countless hours at home, studying for her exams. I am more laid back who never studies but still manages to get decent grades. (I am an honor roll student)Irena is in the top 10 of our sophmore class in high school while I am in the top 25. Her rank is, I think, 25 while I am…in the top 100.Irena is also a Bulgarian. She moved to Little Whinging when we were both freshman in high school. We met that same year and became fast friends. You know, to this day, I still don’t getIrena and her Bulgarian ways, not that I have any problem with Bulgarians. I think they are awesome!

That whole paragraph. W. T. F. So, first she has half a brain. Then she's in the top 25 student. Then she's in the top 100. Then she thinks Bulgarians are awesome.

What the?

haha yes! this whole fic is just.. pure mindpoo. She decided to sit down and write the first words that came into her head. Not to mention the fact that the entire fiction spouts Americanisms out the wazoo.

I lol'ed in real life about the awesome Bulgarian part!

I had to re-read the paragraph, because (since it was so BORING) and I'd actually skipped to the part that said "not that I have any problems with bulgarians."

So I didn't actually know her friend was Bulgarian, and I was like "Bzuh? Random."

Sounds like one for babb_chronicles, if you ask me.

It would be better if she tried to show her supercool knowledge of British schooling and realised -WE DON'T HAVE SOPHOMORES!

Plus - 'starkers' is the slang for naked, it's fairly ancient and I'd imagine that if she found 'Harry starkers' anywhere it would be even more ancient and little kids would not want to be seen dead screaming it at people. It's all about the cool.

It's not so far from 'starkers' to 'stark-naked', which is what everyone I know (here in Iowa) says. So ... maybe she didn't make the connection? I mean, she wrote this crap, she's obviously not the lemon yellow crayon.

i always thought "starkers" was just short for "stark-naked" anyway...

Pick... a... TENSE!!! *weeps* Obviously someone isn't taking "AP Literature" in real life, either.

A friend of mine was in AP Lit, and he couldn't pick a tense either. But then, absolutely no one who applied was rejected.

They didn't make them very hard to get into at my high school either, I recall. I think it was b/c the teachers just needed someone to laugh at.

Oh, gods, the tense changes made my eyes bleed. Maybe she thinks it's 'artsy' and 'fun'. Or maybe she's just never read anything, ever.
