Oh wow, this character is annoying. Special eyes aside, Evanna is atrocious as a human being. The way she treats those around her is just awful. I hate how Evanna gets more of these dueling lessons from Lucius and is treated as though she's the Chosen One when Draco is treated differently. The fact that she's able to do all this magic before Hogwarts just seems like she's supposed to be portrayed as this special and all powerful character ( ... )

Why do authors not get the ONE positive thing the Malfoys have: love for their family? They give them all these other positive qualities they don't have, but ignore the one thing they DO!

A Malfoy who isn't evil is an interesting and sound concept for a story, but you'd have a lot of hoops to jump: the people who are indoctrinating the character also genuinely love them. How do you do that? Of course, they could pull a Sirius, but given how Draco acted when meeting Harry compared to how Sirius interacted with James, it's not a sure thing.
