'atoms apple'?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHA-

Dear Lord, someone should explain to these suethors that being illiterate and writing at the same time kind of is an oxymoron.

Whatever happened to actually knowing how to use a dictionary when you're unsure of how to spell something? Reading usually helps, too.

So we should discourage illiterate people from attempting to learn to write? Literacy ability isn't as simple as you think.

https://www.theliteracybug.com/stages-of-literacy/

The skill you're referring to is a stage three learning skill, which technically a child should learn by the time they're old enough to be on a site such as the pit. Some thirteen-year-olds, and even some seventeen-year-olds are still at stage two or the beginning parts of stage three. The reason may lie in an economic disaprity and/or learning disability issue outside of the Suethor's control, but I think these are the ones we should be encouraging to write rather than not. Plus, I've seen people who are at stage five make the kind of mistake you pointed out because of spell check.

I won't deny this particular Suethor has literacy issues which definitely need addressing, but I wouldn't call her illiterate either.

I didn't say people shouldn't write or be discouraged. But if I hold myself to a certain standard, then why shouldn't suethors? This isn't a BELIEVE IN YOURSELF LITTLE ONE / drama scenario, this is a person who doesn't bother gaining experience as a reader before publishing badly written nonsense on the internet. Reading and writing competence go hand in hand. If you can't be bothered to educate yourself as a reader, you can't expect to write coherently. Ergo, you will be made fun of. I believe that this girl (and most of these girls) is privileged enough to be able to acquire the skills needed to not make a fool of herself online via her writing. If she's not, then I'm wrong and have no problem admitting that. But I find that unlikely ( ... )

I don't doubt the comment is meant as hyperbole, but if I were personally in the writer's shoes I doubt I would take the comment as such, so I'm glad that's clarified ( ... )

I hate info dumps, but then again I don't consider something an info dump if the information is actually important to the telling of the story.

Lol! :D
Just a wee bit purple!

Actually, I suppose it could be worse--reminds me a bit of some published works. Possibly trying to be Ray Bradbury but not quite pulling it off?

Anyway, if you recall, Rowling herself paired 17/18 year olds with 14/15 year olds. Krum was 18 and Hermione was 15 when they attended the Yule Ball together. And apparently they got in a bit of snogging, according to Ginny in Half Blood Prince. So that can't be considered a ding against this story (unless I'm misunderstanding your point in bringing this up).

I'm completely aware of such relationships in real life and fiction. However, is the Suethor? Do they realize there is an age difference between the canon character and the character they created? If they are aware of the difference in age, do they understand how such relationships work? If they're already failing in the other aspects, there are high chances are one of the above is going to be a no answer.

I didn't read enough of this story to find out if they are aware of the age difference, or if they "understand" how such relationships work? In any case, such relationships work just like any other relationship, as it is very common for teens between the ages of 14 and 18 to date each other. So I just don't think that's a point worth dinging a story on, especially as the author of the original series doesn't seem to be fussed about moderately older teens dating those in their mid-teens ( ... )
