Way to think slashily Indra! Now to add incest to the pot, Crouch Jr. flicking his tongue at his father... oooooh, nasty! How could you enjoy that when you point out the gaping absences?! I'll admit that it is my favorite movie too, but they slaughtered it! And the quidditch world cup is so not the best scene, its the hogwarts quidditch cup at the end of Prisoner of Azkaban, boy that made me soooooo mad when Malfoy pulled on his broom. It was intense. Anyway... you hate Dumbledore? Sheesh... I agree, he wasn't in good in this movie as the past, Prisoner of Azkaban was probably my favorite one, no offense to Richard Harris, God rest his soul, but he was too frail. Sigh, thank the lord Steve Kloves is signing off, now we can have the Dumbledore we've always dreamt of.

Yeah, the slash incest was beyond creepy! Two things for the price of one, huh? You've outdone yourself. My 2nd favourite quidditch scene is of course at the end of PoA. I look foward to reading that everytime. There was a foul every second and the match had been put off for so long as well. However can you top the "very rude sign" the leprachuans formed? I don't actually hate Dumbledore. I did during my spoiling sessions but as I said, my disappointment was chipped away in miniscule clumps so constantly that there was barely anything for me to criticise about the film. Richard Harris, God grant him peace, was the best Dumbledore ever except Michael Gambon will due DD justice during the confrontations in HBP. I'm starting to doubt Gambon nonetheless. If you see that Empire interview, he totally is off when describing the series and his character. No Steve Kloves for one movie, woohoo!

Haha, it's funny how everyone seems to notice the whole Harry over Cedric thing...... I agree about Dumbledore, his acting wasn't really suited to the part. I especially disliked the way he delivered the end of the year speech. It was enunciated all wrong and seemed generally too awkward for a Dumbledore speech. I don't think Dan Radcliffe has improved at all in crying though, his performance pretty much made me want to throw something at the screen. But I do agree that it os by far the best HP movie (I've already seen it twice).

So what else have people said about the Harry over Cedric thing? I'm keen on knowing. Seriously, since when would Dumbledore ever push Harry like that and be skeptical of his innocence? This is the man who lets his office be wrecked by an angsty boy and still doesn't reprimand him. Just blame Steve Kloves for the faulty characterisation and the speech while we're at it. They could've done the HP purists a favour and stuck with the original material there. I'd have to disagree on you with Dan's crying as would many other people. You can't say this wasn't at least a teensy bit more genuine than in PoA? People were motivated to relate to Harry and cry along this time. Before Winter Break is over I will view GoF twice. There's people who have seen it 5 times already. No wonder the ticket sales are up.

Basically they just commented on how sketchy the Harry/Cedric thing is. Read Andrea's xanga, there is a quote there that basically sums up the whole thing. Maybe the crying was better that poa, I haven't see that movie in a while. It was definitely more noticeable though and thus more obnoxious. Wimpering can be ignored, fake sobbing cannot. Plus that scene made me really sad in the book and the fake crying ruinied it for me in the movie. He can't yell right either; he sounds really sarcastic when he's supposed to be scared scared. I think the Dumbledore thing was partly the director's fault. I was really mad about the idea of using Harry as a "bait." That really doesn't sound like Dumbledore to me.

I'm gonna head over to Andrea's xanga right now then. The slash commentary is too good to miss out on. You see, I would classify Dan's performance in PoA if not whimpering, obnoxiously fake sobbing. Just watch that scene when you can again. In the book I cried when Harry was talking to the Diggorys. You can't blame Dan too much for the crying. He's barely had to do it but with the movies that follow, he can only improve hopefully. Oh yeah, the screaming is always lying on the sarcastic side. It better be good and angsty come OotP. Well, all I can say is that even though Gambon is here to stay, the new director and screenwriter will mostly like restore DD's character to its former glory.
