Made it out fine...not going NEAR downtown this weekend. Economic Disruption!! And most delegates won't even see the city ;)

It's the pink mohawk, man. It draws the cops in. Like how, in nature, the male bird is more colorful than his female mate, in order to draw away predators.

Also, hassling is a straight risk-analysis no-brainer for the police. Better for an officer to hassle a hundred people that they don't have to, than to be the poor schmuck who didn't stop the one guy who goes in and pees on a delegate or something. So, while I agree that it's not right, I don't fault them for being overcautious either. I'm staying away from the area too (though it's the crazy protestors I'm more worried about running into).

Ironically, today I dropped Growler off again...the streets were empty, saw one police car in my whole trip, and the construction of Bloor? It's like it's not there...drove through as though the city was abandoned ;)
