lol lj was down so i don't think anyone was commenting on anything so it's not you

also omg snickerdoodles. do try reducing the cinnamon, it's overpowering
also the cream of tartar is to make them puffy. i guess if you switched to baking powder it'd do the same thing? but the baking soda + cream of tartar is what makes it a snickerdoodle, it's an old cookie recipe and we didn't have that newfangled baking powder then

i curr a lot about old leavening agents ok i have a recipe book of 40s breads and like you gotta translate shit b/c it uses different temperatures and baking sodas O_O

yeah I figured...like I'm p sure I posted it after the all-clear on LJ's facebook page, but even now LJ is not working as advertised akdljsaf

TY for the leavening education, I didn't realize that was what the cream of tartar was for :D this is why I shouldn't be allowed to mess with recipes lololol I know nothinggg

lol np. but yeah, when you mix baking soda and cream of tartar you get baking powder! it took me ages to figure out b/c all my stuff was like potassium bitartrate and sodium bicarbonate and i am all ???? USE YR WORDS NOT LATINNNN
