I agree. Perhaps we were separated at birth because together we would be too powerful? *grin*
Thank you for the suggestion on digital archiving. I looked into it, and the program I am considering is especially strong on this point. I'm excited!
I also agree that being a prof is overrated. I really wanted to do it when I was around my mentor on an almost daily basis, because he is just such an inspiration. However, when I think of just *how many* (more qualified) candidates I would be up against, for a job that in most places is drastically underpaid and overly stressful, I want to run screaming.
Also, if my future colleagues would be anything like some of my graduate professors instead of like my undergraduate professors, no, thank you. I can work with crazy people anywhere.
As far as your PhD goes- hey, you are *a lot* further along than a lot of people get! That is fantastic! Congratulations!
