I don't think Jack has a problem with calling things 'pretty' or hearing things referred to as such ... as long as they're his, or have a slight possibility of becoming his in the very near future. ('But it's such a pretty boat ...')

And hey, if girls drinking rum turns him on, where's the line? Easiest shag I ever got.

Jack is immediately intrigued since apparently he's never seen a woman drink rum before.

uh... doesn't Elizabeth drink rum in PotC? :b

wait, don't answer that.

Coal is surrounding his eyes...? Like a snowman, or what? hehe.

Methinks she meant "kohl" but didn't know how to spell it. And hey, coal's black, right?! Hehe indeed.

Oh, I gathered that's what she meant. The spelling just brought this really funny pirate-snowman imagery to mind. ^^;

My cat's name has been Sued. My cat's name has been Sued! Grrrr... You may Sue my name, but leave my pets out of it. I hope people pronounce her name Mig-non (rhymes with twig-non.)

And what's with the French? I don't care if they refused to support us in our "war", they are still good people, and their fine language doesn't deserve to be abused like this. My French figments are going to band together and shove this Sue overboard.

Min was gone forever.

Oh, right. *rejoices*

I thought it rhymed with sing-nyon? Or is that my tutor going wrong?

Oh, yes, indeed, you're right. That's the proper pronunciation. But our old veterinarian didn't understand it was French and thus pronounced differently, and it took him a long while to finally pronounce it correctly. It's the difference between gar-con and gar-son. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear.

Gar-con? Ow. Well, it's good to know I haven't been saying it with a Scottish accent all this time! ^_^

"La Foire Bijou (The Fair Jewel)"

La Foire Bijou? La Foire Bijou? *waits a couple of seconds and starts howling in laughter* This is too much!!! The BEST Sue-ish french mistake EVER!!!!(one) So hilarious...I can't breathe.
Now if it seems I'm being patronizing you must forgive me, but "foire" does not mean fair in a beautiful way, but fair as in the town fair way. I must say this is even better than the Vampire Chronicles Française!Sue I found a few months back.

Thank you so much for making my day.

And to this author I must say, stop desecrating my language or you will feel my pain.

Actually, I was looking for one a few months back, gave up because it was in the middle of an exam period. Would be fun to start the language sue hunt again though ;)
