A Few Things

Just bought "Heart Shaped Box" by Joe Hill. Looked like a pretty good horror story, and it had won a few critics over as well.

Found out today is Joe Hillstrom King. Son of, you guessed it, Stephen King.

Look forward to reading the book and I'm hoping the boy can end a book better than his dad has for the last 20 or so years.

As is too often the case, I didn't see most of the Oscar nominees this year. I know that No Country, Bardem, and Day Lewis were all predicted to win, so I certainly wasn't surprised, but I have no idea if they deserved it.

Once again i have managed to avoid seeing a single solitary Oscar nominated movie...I'm waiting until i get a nomination...I guarantee you if there is a movie out there with me in it...I'll be the first in line for tickets...But so far i seemed to have completely missed out on a career in motion pictures...I guess have have to do what i always do...wait for next year and hope that i finally get my long awaited starring role...and get the best actor Oscar that i so richly deserve.

Marion Cotillard's win didn't surprise me at all. La vie en rose was amazing.
