Was anyone else confused by this song?
I mean, it totally sounds like a shanty that was could have been use historically.
But, then I found out that it was written directly for the movie. Which is cool and all.
But....I totally thought it an authentic song that Disney took and put music too.

The song was written specifically for the movie, but it was also written to sound historically accurate.

The lyrics do tell the story of Calypso and Davy Jones and the Pirate Lords perfectly, too.

I think it's a good song.
I want to memorize the lyrics and sing it in the grocery store when I shop. See how many weird looks I get.

Yeah, they did a pretty good job with that song. And it reminds me, I meant to look up the lyrics to "Fiddler's Green."
