Hello everyone! I'm Trinity Day, your mod, and I also plan to be Writing Fic for this challenge. Even if the longest thing I've ever written for this fandom is a grand total of 2083 words, well short of the 10k minimum needed for this challenge.

I haven't quite decided what I'm going to write, but there is an idea I'm toying around with. It's actually something that I'd prompted on comment_fic ages ago but only rediscovered when perusing their lonely prompts for ones that I could add to this comm's prompt post.

I haven't quite worked out the summary, even preliminarily, but here is what will probably be the first lines of the fic (if that is what I write (and please forgive the roughness of it(not the least which how I haven't yet decided how Barbossa would think of himself and Jack--by first or surname)--there is a reason this challenge requires a beta)):

It wasn't as uncommon as he would like for Hector Barbossa to awake from a night of carousing to find that his Black Pearl had been spirited away while he slept. It was the cross he had

I'm Floof or Alexandra, a 22 year old lady from the Netherlands. I love to draw and some of the members maybe saw my art and other things before! I think this challenge will be very fun and I will be drawing since I can't write fics that long.(Dutch is my native language)

Hello! This is jedimasterstar. This is going to be my first Big Bang fic, so it should be interesting.

I do have a plot in mind, mostly with James Norrington. I have written for POTC before, but it has been a couple of years.

Hm, I am still getting the summary down, but...

It begins after CotBP but before DMC. James Norrington has just returned from searching for Jack Sparrow when he hears the news that Will and Elizabeth are engaged. Sinking into a depression, he begins a journey to figure out where his life is heading. Can an old friend of Elizabeth's help him?

It hasn't turned into a romance. Yet. I'm not trying for a romance at the moment, just a friendship. But we'll see where the muses go.

Hi, I'm Shytan, I only signed up for art so far because I'm not sure if I can write 10k words. I did start a fic, the plan, prologue and chapter 1 are done but it's only a bit over 1k words so I'm not sure it's going to work, I think it'll only reach 7k. I'm not sure if I should continue it further so I can get a better idea of how long it's going to be, or try to plot out something else.

Even if the fic doesn't end up being 10k, there will be a lot of happy Pirates fans out there to get a new 7k story. And you have another two weeks to figure out if you want make it into a 10k story before author sign-ups close.

Hello all!

I'm Nom, and I'm going to be doing a Pirates/Alice in Wonderland crossover with a Jack/Alice/Tarrant thing going on. Totally going there. It will be well post OST.

Oh, this is my first pirates big bang too! So excited to see what everyone comes up with! There are a lot of talented authors who've thrown their hats in.
