Ficlet

Ho-hum. I'm tired, and this is an odd pairing, but they barged into my brain, and I suppose I just have a thing for homoerotic poets.

Alfred, Lord Tennyson/Arthur Hallam, anybody?

*glee* I love it. Incidentally, I recently wrote a paper on their thinly veiled love. Great timing. ;)

Mm, point well made. Unfortunately, my Prof wasn't too keen on it.

*giggles* *bounces also* I told you it ate my brain! And I achieved the remarkable feat of writing fic about two people of whom I know next to nothing. *proud*

*giggles* The problem is that one can therefore never really make the slash quite clear.

Oh wow, how have I missed this before?! I adore it! This is now passing as revision for my collections (it's about Victorians, after all). I really do love this and you captured the Cambridge essence sublimely as well as the relationship between the two men. Bravo indeed!

Wow, I wasn't expecting another comment on this! I'd forgotten its existence! Are you at Cambridge, then? I'm glad I managed to 'capture its essence', given that I'm at the Other Place. An d supposedly studying for Finals. Which is...why I'm on LJ. :D

No, I'm at Oxford. But my cousin is a fellow at Corpus Christi and I'm utterly obsessed with Rivers (to the extent of writing his biography) so I've turned traitor and spend a lot of time in Cambs (despite the fact the X5 bus takes four sodding hours to do a two hour journey). Good luck with finals! I'm also 'revising' for Mods

Oh, how cool! Doing English, I assume? I am a traitor myself, having diverged from the straight and narrow onto Course II due to an obsessive love of the Angevins. :)

Thank you, and good luck with Mods!
