Hurrgh, I would not know the first thing about naming rats. I'm inclined to lean towards something historical, grandiose, and scientific. Like Copernicus. Or Darwin. Or Asimov... okay that's science fiction and more recent BUT! It's an excellent name.

So, uh... those would be my suggestions? If you like one, feel free to use it?

Your baby rats, they are very lovely. Kass should be proud. ^_^

Yay! While I think Copernicus is one of the most excellent names in the history of names, as a biologist I cannot possibly be more pleased than I am with Darwin. Especially for a rat. After careful consideration (I thought perhaps I would try to select the most Darwin-like baby, and then I thought I would try to select my favorite, but both are impossible), I choose the mostly dark one on the far right, because he looks like his brother Thor, and something inside of me is pleased at the thought of Darwin being like unto a Norse god.

Good choice! And yes, he DOES look like Thor! After Nick named Thor I took a good 5 minutes trying to figure out which was which. I've got it down now, though. Darwin has more splotchiness.

Well... Klecks is definitely the cutest. The other ones just sort of bump into each other, but he is really hugging Thor. Smart one, learning these essential skills early in life. :D
