[RL WITH JAPAN]

Germany...needed some advice. He'd given himself some time after Italy had come to talk to him, but it really hadn't gotten him anywhere. He'd read that sometimes it helped to talk it over with someone else, to understand what you really wanted, and well. While Germany really wasn't one for talking things over like that, he was definitely willing ( Read more... )

Japan was diligently cleaning his house when he heard the bell ring. Though he was not expecting any guests, it wasn't as though he was occupied with things of any importance and it certainly wouldn't do it ignore a visitor. Unless it was Korea, of course, he only ever came to brag and grope. But then Korea usually barged in without ringing doorbells...

Japan hastened to the genkan, stepped out of his house slippers and into his geta, and opened the door.

"Ah, Germany-san," he greeted the nation on the other side, "Your visit is most welcomed. Please come in."

"Y-yeah, alright," he said, making his way into the entryway of Japan's home. He hesitated in removing his shoes, though. Maybe... Maybe he should explain himself to Japan first, before he made himself at home?

"I... I'm sorry to bother you. I just... I need to talk something over and. Well, you're very good at listening, so, I thought... Maybe you wouldn't mind doing that for me...?"

"Ah? Is that so...?"

Japan paused in putting back on his slippers. Germany wanted to talk about something? That was rather unusual. Perhaps it was about a new report on climate policy, or about the next world council. But then again, Germany had never come to discuss such things with him before.

He finished putting on his silppers and laid out some for Germany to put on - luckily, Japan kept a few pair of slippers in sizes large enough to accomodate westerners.

"Of course I would not mind at all, Germany-san. My door is always open to you."

"Thank you," Germany said, moving to take off his shoes and put on the slippers that Japan put out for him. It had been amusing, the first time Germany had come to Japan's house, as it was. Japan hadn't had slippers large enough for him; it had made Germany feel like a giant even more than he had before.

He shifted awkwardly. "Uhm. Is there somewhere where we could go to talk, then?" Germany asked. "I... I need advice on something. Something important," he specified.
