The double date had been... interesting. While he'd known Inui and Kaidoh had been together, it was still something of a shock actually SEEING them together. It was an observation Momoshiro had kept to himself, as he didn't think everyone else would see it the same way he did. Either way, they'd had a rocky start, but he'd enjoyed himself. And he thought the others had too.

Now he was heading home through pouring rain, running beside Kamio and trying vainly to shield himself from the rain as best he could. He'd left the dreaded umbrella at home, declaring that he would rather get wet than walk around with the thing. Now he was wishing his pride hadn't gotten in his way and he had the umbrella.

The station came into view and Kamio was through the door before Momo could so much as blink, but he wasn't far behind. The warmth hit him first as he came skidding to a stop beside his boyfriend.

"Damn... knew they said it'd rain... but that is too much!" Laughing, Momo brushed his hair back, ringing the water from it and wishing he had a ( ... )

Yuuta shook his head to clear the water out of his eyes as he wandered into the train station, adjusting the tennis and overnight bags on his shoulder as he did. Man, what a downpour! He grinned, though. He loved the rain, and storms always made him feel a little wild inside. He wondered briefly if that was the Fuji side of him acting up, but whatever. He still loved the rain, so much that he didn't even bother with umbrellas anymore. He ended up leaving them at home anyway, and no one at Sei Ru ever fussed at him for getting soaked. This one looked to be getting worse, too. He couldn't wait to get hom and watch it through his window ( ... )

"Way too much." Kamio agreed with Momo, glaring at the train timetable. Several trains were grounded as the tracks were closed due to the storm, and he angrily tried to find theirs to see if they were going to be stuck here all night. He growled a bit as Momo brushed his hair back and sprayed him a little with water.

He'd just caught sight of their train number and was glad to see it was still scheduled to leave on time, when someone called their names. He spun round and noticed Yuuta coming towards them. Realising that he was still glaring Kamio tried to make his face more neutral so that he didn't appear rude. "Hey, Yuuta-kun. What are you doing here?"

Hair now spiked up even more than usual, Momo dropped his hands to his sides and gave up on it. It'd have to wait until he got home to do anything more with it. And, as usual, he noticed and ignored the glare Kamio was shooting his way. He'd become pretty immune to glares over the years, and Kamio's was, while impressive, still easy to ignore.

Suddenly he heard his name called, in a voice he recognised but knew shouldn't have been there at that time. Turning his head, he easily spotted Yuuta and found himself wondering if coincidences were a lot more common than people assumed.

Grinning at the other teen, Momoshiro lifted a hand and waved in greeting. His surprise at seeing Yuuta at Shibuya station was shortlived, overridden by his happiness at seeing the other. "Hey there!" he lowered his hand and pointed at Kamio with a laugh. "What he said."

Yuuta smiled and opened the pack, pulling out the cards and shuffling them absently. His gaze and his attention were caught for a moment by the storm outside. He wasn't sure what it was about them he liked, but he was glued to a window whenever he couldn't get away with actually sitting in one. And if everyone at home was off doing something else, he planned to do just that tonight. But for now he forced himself to tear his attention away from the rain and direct it back at his friends to avoid rudeness. His gaze momentarily shifted too far, showing him a couple of vague figures sitting towards the other end, before he looked the other two in the eye.

"Well, we could play something simple like Go Fish... or we could play something a little more energetic, if you two wanted?" Yuuta smiled.

Kamio leaned back in the chair and drew his feet up onto the seat, bracing his knees against the table. He tried to discreetly push himself so that he was gently brushing up next to Momo without Yuuta seeing, in case he made his friend feel awkward.

“I haven’t a clue how go fish works...uh, what did you have in mind for the ‘more energetic’ option?” Kamio asked, not really in the mood for anything that required energy or mental input since he seemed to be running low of both, but intrigued as to what game Yuuta had in mind.

Out of the corner of his eyes he watched his boyfriend pull his legs up, and wondered briefly if he was going to be alright. Usually the train home gave him time to recharge and get some sleep, but if he was going to skip that in favor of playing a game... Momo wondered if they'd end up getting a taxi back to his place.

"Strip poker?" Momo asked, as innocently as he possibly could, and trying so very hard not to laugh. He didn't actually mean it, but it was the first thing that had came to mind when envisioning a more "energetic" card game.

The train jerked forward slightly, finally pulling off as Yuuta stopped shuffling and held the deck in preparation to deal. He blinked a few times at his friend's words, hoping that Momoshiro-kun had been joking.

"Please don't be disappointed when I say no," he said. Then he turned to Kamio-kun and smiled. "Ever played Seven-Card No-Peek before?"

Yuuta looked up to Kamio-kun, not ceasing his shuffling. "Yeah, looks like it," he said softly, lowering his voice to match Momoshiro-kun's. He shuffled for a bit longer, watching Kamio-kun for any signs of waking, before deciding that it should be okay. He dealt the cards, taking care to slide them gently, and very carefully placed a four of clubs face-up. "Beat that, Momoshiro-kun."

"Good." Grinning quite happily, he waited for the cards to be dealt and then, after Yuuta had taken his turn, reached out and flipped over one of his cards. It was a six. Rather pleased he'd gotten a card higher than his friend, he gestured to Yuuta to continue. "Your turn ( ... )

Kamio had been fast asleep within seconds, and would have been quite happy to stay that way had he not found himself jerked suddenly awake, and thrown forwards as the train came to an abrupt stop.

Suddenly terrified, as he had no idea where he was, he grabbed hold tightly of the person he was all but leaning on and tried to open his eyes...only to find darkness. Combined with his still half-asleep mind he felt his heart begin to race and he desperately tried to see where he was based on a very faint glow from a small light on the wall beside him. His eyes adjusted, and he saw he was clinging to Momo for dear life. He looked across and could just make out Yuuta...this made sense; the more he woke up, the more he remembered about his date in Shibuya, and meeting his friend at the train station.

"What happened?" He asked, trying to remove the grogginess and fear from his voice. "We're still no the train, right? Why's it so dark? Why aren't we moving?"

Akaya had been sleeping soundly, taking advantage of the free shoulder he'd found, when he was suddenly jerked awake and forward by the sudden stop. Unfortunately for him, the angle he'd been sleeping at meant that he was spun sideways-ish as well, resulting in him being flung out of his seat, around the edge of the table, and solidly onto the train floor with an "Oomph!". Dizzily, he tried to make sense of what had happened, but the sudden darkness made it almost impossible to know what was going on-- he couldn't even be 100% sure of up or down. Outside, the thunder rumbled ominously, rain pouring down in buckets. Almost blind and confused, Akaya reached out as well as he could for his safety blanket of sorts.

"...Buchou? Are you there?"

Akaya beamed, happy to have been of use to his buchou. "Nah, s'okay." Looking at Momo in surprise, he could only laugh at the assertion. "That's true, huh? Hey, maybe some'll come along and attack us and we'll have some fun!" He leaned against the pole by Yukimura, feeling fairly at-ease. At least, if they were gonna be here a while, the company was okay.

Then he caught Kamio's mumbled sentence, and decided to add his own two cents to that. "Yeah, but if we all made up hands, everyone would win with the best possible hand, right? So it'd be a tie." Pausing to contemplate things that normally only existed in games or manga, he asked a little wistfully, "I don't guess anyone here has psychic powers, huh?" He wasn't very hopeful of a positive answer, though. A bunch of normal kids like them never had stuff like that unless it was an alien gift that eventually killed them.

Yuuta blinked, not happy with them planning and hoping for a zombie invasion. "Uh, I'll take boredom you guys, thanks." He smiled, not sure if they could even see it or not, to show that he wasn't upset. Then he boggled again at Kirihara-kun's random question, turning laughingly to Yukimura and answering him. "Oh, I'm sure too. With conversations like this, we'll find some way to pass the time. We may not leave with our sanity intact, but we won't be too bored." He blinked and looked out the window as lightning struck again, wondering what someone else would say next.

Snorting softly, he gave Kirihara a funny look that he didn't care the other boy couldn't see. "With nothing to beat them senseless with, guess that just means I have to outrun you guys to survive! Sounds easy enough!" He laughed, his tone light and teasing. That was, of course, until he caught Kamio's muttered comment and his laughter stopped. His tone effected one of hurt, and he pouted a little just for added effect. "Hey... I'm not that bad! I won a few hands, right, Yuuta-kun?" He called over to the other teen for confirmation. But even as he was saying it, even though he was joking and making light of the situation, his arms about Kamio tightened a fraction.

This had to be one of the weirdest conversations he’d been in or a while. Not overly happy with the ideas of zombies attacking them, though realising on some level that it was insane to worry that this would actually happen, Kamio couldn’t help but mentally agree with Yuuta. Boredom may be dull, but at least it was safe. And right now that’s all he wanted to feel until the lights came back. Same and not having his brain gnawed on by armies of the un-dead. “I suggest you find something to hit them with…you’d never outrun me.”

“And I wasn’t awake for your alleged wins, so they don’t count.” Kamio replied easily, almost managing a ghost of a smile, even if Momo couldn’t see it. Even though he was teasing his boyfriend, the way Momo was trying to make him feel better with contact and squeezes wasn’t going unnoticed, and he ever so slightly nuzzled his head against Momo’s shoulder in thanks.
