Where: Okinawa, on the beach~
Summary: Rin and Tanishi's families have decided their children are getting "engaged"...and are throwing a bash, Okinawa-style to celebrate. True to from, EVERYONE is invited!

Rin sat on the sand, a little apart from the main part of the party, just watching the chaos unfolding in front of him. As much fun as it was, this party, being in the thick of things with family and friends, he needed a bit of a breather...and, yes, a break from Kei's sister staring at him with big, accusing eyes. He hoped she'd get over her brother-crush eventually....

Even though he and Kei didn't consider the engagement to be real, it was still a bit...unreal, to think that at least some people there considered him an engaged man, and Rin needed to process that, too.

Chuckling when someone got a bit too close to one of his sister's more...active carnivorous plants, Rin leaned back on his hands and gazed up at the sky, a smile still on his face, even with some of the weirdness. It was nice, knowing people were having fun....

Finally. He finally got away from his sister and the rest of his insane mother and his poor suffering father and his over abundance of other siblings. And he ended up right with the one person who was helping be the cause of it all.

"So you ran away without me. I should be sad." He plopped down next to his boyfriend...now his finacee, since his parents and Rin's parents had lost their damn minds. "How you handling things?"

"Kei dear, I'll fight dragons for you, sea monsters, just about anything...but not the loving arms of your family~" Rin looked at Kei with a smile, then back over to where their families were gathered. "Especially not when it looks like your mother and my father have teamed up...."

He reached over, resting one of his hands on top of Kei's and lacing their fingers together. "A bit overwhelmed," he admitted softly. "How are you holding up, babe?"

"Sea monsters have nothing on them..." He bemoaned and then laughed a little. "And I think that right there scares me most. Your dad and my mom all buddy buddy. I'll be in for another special talk before the night it out. I just know it." Becuase he had already had quite a few since he had stated that he really liked Rin. Really...really liked Rin. "But at least your Nan left her shotgun at home...I hope."

His hand turned over to squeeze against those fingers and silently enjoyed the feel of them as well as the grit of the sand. "Just about the same. I've been thinking about pointing to the sky and saying thagt I see a UFO and then grabbing you and running, like we did when we first told them about us. What do you think? Think anyone other than Roka would fall for it?"
