1. So the qt who used to work in one of the shops on butchers' row is gone...however, some more qts have come to replace him. Yeah...it was the not sitting down at the table thing that made me feel like it wasn't ~traditional~, you are right! XD;;; haha omg my memory is so much fail :(

We did have crackers! But no pudding set on fire, sadly :( V. suggested we play the game where we get chestnuts out of the fire...I'm glad we didn't, tbh!

NGL, despite the giant pain and huge drain on resources and general worthlessness of a Ph.D in the humanities, I too am drawn by the lure of being able to wear the squashy hat.

I'm really curious as to which schools have which colours! Also, I thought certain US universities do mortarboards for the PhD as well? :O I kind of want to do a PhD at Oxbridge just for the ~tradition~

I always thought more people had turkey these days around Christmas - it is also a lot cheaper this time of year!
