Der Untergang (which I watched the other day) is perhaps one of the best European films I've seen in my life. It's so...real and poignant I couldn't not like it.

Have you seen Romanian films? I should see if the ones I have at home have English subtitles and send one to you. I don't know if you'll like them, but it's worth a shot, yes?

Der Untergang is still my second favorite film of all time. It was my favorite for a long time (until this past year, when I saw The Man of My Life, the most amazing and subtle and beautiful love story I've ever had the fortune of seeing).

I have not, but I'd love to. Have you heard of 4 luni, 3 saptamini si 2 zile? It was a big hit at Cannes this year.

Now I'll have to watch that film and since hopefully I will be going to Bournemouth for 3 whole days, I'll have the chance to see it. Thanks for sharing that.

I'll look for some. I've not yet seen this Cannes one, but yet again I will try to over that weekend. I'll look for How I spent the end of the world and send it. =)

Ah, I'd been wondering about Black Book. I'll have to see that.

Yeah, I had my wisdom teeth out yesterday, so I've been watching lots of TV. I didn't see anything worthwhile on the news since Paris Hilton was plastered all over it. Someone mentioned her saying she has to be a better role model for those who look up to her, and I'm like, "Who's dumb enough for that??"
