They are at the ocean, an expanse of blue without an edge, the day before university starts, and they are going to different places; the gold of sunset shines upon Yukimura, and he laughs, but the wind carries it away into the distance, soft and melodious - Sanada thinks he hears words floating away from him; he is not sure what they say, but he thinks he knows, and Sanada answers yes.

Sanada does not understand Akaya, who is a strange shape with black curls and big big eyes, looking vaguely innocent and cute until one meets him on the tennis courts, then he is tricky and devious, with that devilish grin and impish determination, and Sanada still remembers in second year, when Akaya challenged Renji, Yukimura, and him to consecutive matches and lost all three, the way Yukimura had laughed after crushing Akaya - fukubuchou breaks into his thoughts, and then he is back in the rain with Akaya, big green eyes peering up at him amid a mop of limp black curls, and Sanada understands this.

NiouYuki, trickery

Niou is like a tinkling of bells, Yukimura thinks, as he watches Niou practicing on the courts, bleached white hair shining in the sunlight and grin tearing apart everything around him, an echo or a memory of one that stays even after the original sound disappears, but he does not know that Niou thinks of him like that, does not know that he is burned into Niou's mind when he is in the hospital, because even though Yukimura is brilliant, Niou is still afraid that he is only a trick of the light (he, like everyone else, has never been sure that Yukimura isn't, and maybe that is because Yukimura is so brilliant), and if Niou does not remember Yukimura precisely enough, Yukimura will truly disappear.

oh I have an army of Yuki pairings that are just begging to be written and since sanayuki was already requested (and it's not as shiny as my other yuki pairings), I did NiouYuki (which is so so so sooooooo rare ;o;).

There is something about Patroclus's body that always always reminds Achilles of the very first time, when that hard lean body was still somewhat foreign and he had first traced over scars and lines and edges, and even when Patroclus is lying stiff and unseeing, Achilles still wants to touch him, but he does not - instead, when the Amazon queen dies, he fucks her, and he thinks patroclus would have not have been like this, but he did not do that to Patroclus; he would not have, would never have, because Patroclus is worth everything.

It is different now because Justin is out there alone, this huge superstar, and Lance is just one of the members of *N Sync, a boyband (so obsolete in this era) on hiatus (split, really, or at least, this is what all but the hardcore fans believe) - it is like Lance is no longer good enough; he's not a-list, not like Cameron, so when Justin comes to him, Lance pushes him away, and he convinces himself that this is how it has to be.
