WHAT: Awkward.
WHERE: Dadkats apartment.
WHEN: Just after the end of the AU event.
WARNINGS: LOL AWKWARD.
SUMMARY: John and Karkat wake up from the weirdest four day nap ever whilst being a tangle of limbs.

Karkat had always been a burrowing, wretched cuddler. It was part of the reason he didn't care for sleeping with people, and why Threshecutioner had never slept anywhere but carefully perched at the foot of his bed if on it at all (Milo, for the record, usually took up residency on the back of the couch or in the bathroom sink). So it wasn't exactly strange for him to wake up spun in a blanket like some kind of alien glow worm, but what was strange was the distinctly human warmth and shape beneath him.

He wriggled for a while until his head unearthed itself from his cocoon of blankets, and he... found himself staring at John.

...huh.

"Egbert why are we both on the couch," he grumbled groggily, shifting to sit up. Except he wasn't really sure how to, because his legs were entwined with John's in an awkward little tangle. He squinted over his shoulder. "You know we both don't fit on the couch, that's why I have the beanbag chairs."

John just sort of blinked stupidly at him for a moment trying to figure out how they wound up in this strange predicament. At the same time he reached up (after disentangling his arm from where ever it was being held captive) and rubbed at his temples. Bluh his head hurt.

"Yeah, I know that. I was pretty sure you knew that, too? Because you're the one sleeping like some kind of blanket cuddle monster on top of me right now."

Milo turned his head and yawned at them, then trilled and faced the other direction. Clearly it wasn't wake up time for the household feline just yet.

"I do know that. You probably just somehow convinced me to sleep on the couch with you or something. Watching too many scary movies with Jade or something-- is she here? I swear she was here." He figured out how to untangle their legs and sat up, still an unholy blanket mongler.

He was also sporting a pretty impressive hickey at the base of his collarbone where it met his neck.

John was still rubbing at his eyes when he replied.

"Dude, I'd think I would remember that unless someone spiked my orange soda with vodka. I don't remember anything about last night."

When he paused and took his hand away finally he caught sight of that telltale abrasion on Karkat's neck. He blinked at him stupidly for the second time in ten minutes. And then sort of started to snicker.

"Do you? Because it looks like you did something last night."
