WHO: CASTIEL and you. WHAT: New...friends...? WHERE: Anywhere. Literally, anywhere. WHEN: Today? WARNINGS: Will update as needed. SUMMARY: Castiel goes out on the town.
[It is hot as all get out in T or C, but Didi is still in her customary black, though she did finally give up and trade the pants and boots for shorts and flip flops. Still, heat or no heat, she likes to wander.
The walk from the convenience store for cold drinks and a Popsicle is especially nice. Spotting the solemnly staring figure just makes it... maybe not better, but more interesting. She grins and waves to him.]
[ oh it's death. castiel nods respectfully to her. it is still...off-putting, seeing her. everything that she is registers, pinging off his conciousness in waves. it makes him nostalgic for his own reality, and the familiarity of home.
when she is close enough to hear him speak, he greets her. it is only polite after all. ]
[ he mostly meant that he didn't care. castiel took little notice of his clothing. it was unimportant, and he didn't really have preference for anything, one way or ther other. ]
[ he's sure it probably does. people typically don't like being watched. he could have just turned invisible but geez why are you making everything so complicated jean-paul. ]
[John is making progress on chatting up a woman at a bar when she sees the angel and suddenly finds a need to be elsewhere. John sighs and watches her clear out, then looks over his shoulder to see what spooked her.
Oh. Well. They do look a bit like Team Creeper when you stick them together.]
[Cas looks like a homeless war vet, sitting like that. John surrenders his irritation and laughs.]
Hullo yourself. Haven't seen you since a year ago in the future. How've you been keeping?
[He taps his glass and holds two fingers up to the barman. No idea if Castiel drinks, but at least with a beer in front of him, they'll look less like they're recreating a Cold War spy convention.]

[The smile turns into a comical expression when she wrinkles her nose at the sight of him in the coat.]
Yeesh, that's something I definitely miss about being not mortal. I'd run around in those stuffy formal robes even if it meant not being hot anymore.
[That aside, she looked up at him and smiled again.] So what's up? Are you looking for something in particular or wandering?
