When she heard her brother's voice, Aurora set herself upright, and let her face fall into her hands. She felt so disoriented, almost liked she'd been asleep for weeks, and maybe she had. The last thing she remembered was going home and seeing all those horrible women from that horrible place.

"It's Aurora," she said, speaking in French. "She just tried to kill us."

The words fell off her lips, and she didn't know why. Had it been anyone else but her brother, she might not have said them.

She hugged him back. Normally, Aurora would just brush him off and assure herself she didn't need her brother to feel better, but she'd almost died tonight, and it really freaked her out. The fact Jeanne- hMarie had that type of power? Well. She'd have to do something about that, wouldn't she?

"I do not know what to do anymore," she admitted to him. "I cannot let her out again."
