WHO: Angel and Chase [OU]
WHAT: Meeting finally?
WHERE: Warren and Molly's house
WHEN: This afternoon!
WARNINGS: Chase's mouth, most likely.
SUMMARY: Chase is not impressed that Molly has been living with an X-Man, and because of Warren's busy work schedule, they've never run into each other yet. Now that's going to change.

I was just minding my own business... )

Chase was still unsure where exactly he stood with Molly. Things had been good before--she was the only one who didn't constantly bring up the night he'd gotten here because she hadn't experienced it yet, and she was still... here. That was different now, even though she swore it wasn't. She had experienced things that the other Chase was more likely to understand. He wasn't needed anymore. Just a bad memory about something that happened a long time ago, that everyone wished they could forget.

Still, he found himself loitering around the house she lived in, hands angrily in pockets, debating on whether or not he should go say hi. The moment he saw Warren however, he changed his mind, and started to stomp down the sidewalk, away from the house.

The advantage to having such enhanced eyesight was that Warren could catch the smallest of details with just a brief glimpse. What he did catch was Chase's face right before he'd started storming away, and it took him a second to recognize him. Only, this wasn't the same Chase that he'd spoken to over the network before. This one was younger, more tense--and, obviously, he could walk. This must have been the same Chase he'd heard Molly go on and on about, and Warren wondered for a moment if he needed something.

"Hey!" he called, and dropped his garbage bag to the porch and flew down to the lawn. "Were you looking for someone?"

Obviously it wasn't Warren Chase was looking for, but what was the harm in meeting him finally?

Chase jumped a little when Warren shouted after him, and glanced back over his shoulder to see the X-Man flying toward him. It did make him pause though. This way he could find out of Molly was okay without actually speaking to her, which would probably be the best for both parties.

"No," he started, frowning at Warren, obvious that he was wary of him. He then looked at the floor. "You live with Molly, right?"

The body language was pretty noticeable, so Warren made sure to keep a decent amount of distance between them as they spoke. Years and years of dealing with people both good and bad, scared and excited and everything in between made it easy for Warren to pick up on these things, and his intention wasn't to make the guy uncomfortable.

"I do," he answered him politely, and then gestured to himself. "I'm Warren. I've actually been Molly's roommate since she got here last summer. You're a friend of hers, I'm assuming?"
