BATMAN & JAN a_dark_crusader October 9 2010, 00:51:41 UTC
[ He came by jet and arrived not long after Jan, and came in wordlessly. He seems completely driven only to get things set up in the quickest, most efficient way possible, but more-so, he seems to know what he's doing. He manages to multitask, keeping contact with Superman in Seattle, who is currently dealing with Bruce Banner's rampage as The Hulk. ]

[It's a little creepy working with a man who wore a mask and she didn't know the face underneath. Jan almost, half jokingly, asks him where he got his PhD in biochemistry but refrains. She imagines she probably wouldn't have gotten an answer, anyway. The jury is still on out on whether or not she likes him or even trusts him but he seems to be doing okay thus far and so she is allowing him to be in her work space without any contempt.

For now.

She is sterilizing the room as much as she can and setting up her "to go" lab equipment, mask over her mouth.]

[ The very least you can depend on Batman for is that, regardless of the task, he will be utterly competent at it, and be no hassle whatsoever. In fact, Jan will find that he does everything quietly and efficiently, with no mistakes and no time wasted. He slips on his own mask, making it even eerier without that touch of skin showing to humanize him.

He hands her items, she hands him items, and they otherwise seem to coexist as though they'd worked together for a very long time. Pleasant enough, for a guy dressed as a giant bat. ]

[Jan is having an internal debate about what to refer to Batman as. Just Batman? Dr. Batman? She doesn't want to be rude but... not knowing the name of the person you're working with is a little foreign, at least to her.

She hands him a box of latex gloves wordlessly. She is expecting him to put them on since his gloves are not, presumably, sterile.]

[Anyone in Seattle looking to get teleported, hop on the Toby express. He only looks mildly like he's freaking the hell out on the inside.]

[Karla had tried to delay asking for help for as long as possible, and it had started to look like she was going to need the Capekillers' help until she heard about this second cure that the science brigade had found. It was about time they did something useful and not life-threatening ( ... )

[Karla looks terrible, to say the least. Maybe one of the worst cases she has seen all day. Jan wastes no time pulling her inside the room, prepping an area of exposed on her skin to administer the cure.]

You'll be as good as new in no time.

[Karla is focusing all her energies into one hand, releasing light from it at a rate that would at the very least keep the flames from burning Jan as well. She really needed to release all of her energy to stop it temporarily, but even as light, that much energy would have been dangerous.]

How long will it take to fix this?

[She sounds surprisingly helpless and compliant with Jan getting everything ready. This isn't really the time or place for being, well, herself.]

And thus Serenity readied herself to take Pym to his mother.

"Ready?" she asked. "It should be a second or two..."

[Luckily for Tim, he was already at the Bins. Staying with Peter apparently had its perks. He wasn't good at being lucky, but for once, it worked out.

He made his way to the rooms the cures were being administered in. His fever had come back full throttle. Johnny had warned him that it would.

The sooner he got the cure, the better.]
