He'd meant to find Stephanie first, and show her the conversation they'd had (thus proving, Talon would openly admit, that the other Tim was right and he was willing to throw him under a bus, at least in regards to Stephanie, whose favor he'd decided he needed more than Tim's), but he hadn't been able to. So he carefully packed the uniform into a dark bag and set off to meet Tim. Just for fun he'd checked out the names of the past week's check-ins. There was no Alvin Drape, though of course, that didn't mean Tim hadn't used another name entirely... but he'd be surprised if the hotel was actually his ( ... )

Tim wondered what the outfit was about, but kept that to himself. He forced a smile, which never looked genuine with the cowl on no matter what he did, and waved a hand in greeting as the other approached. Even if it killed his smile, he was pretty grateful for the cowl. It hid whatever must be on his face at...well, at meeting someone who was his body double. Even knowing it was coming, the effect was just surreal. How was he seriously supposed to take this?

He reached out and took the bag. He thought about looking inside it right there, but decided against it.

"It just kind of happened," he said, in response to the question. He managed to keep his tone level, but it was hard to hide things from oneself. Tim's dislike for Damian was hardly a secret. "Damian was insisting he was Robin from the second he stabbed his way into my life."

With a dry smile — he was more or less acting like it was nothing to be standing next to himself, because he'd gotten used to it before — Tim nodded. He could only imagine how he would have felt in the same position. It was easy for him to get along with Damian because he was an outsider, despite being Tim Drake. Well, that and he was okay with casually threatening the little bastard with death.

"Robin, Red Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Batman. Leaves me at loose ends, doesn't it?" Talon spread his hands a little, indicating his attire as well as communicating a helpless gesture. "But I'll figure something out, since Damian was quite clear that there couldn't be two Robins."

Tim tilted his head slightly. "So you were Robin, too?" he asked. It made sense, sure, but was that really the case? He had no idea what had gone on in the other Tim's life. He had a slightly different alias, but not a totally different one. Even his personality was similar, though. This just got weirder, didn't it?

Tim had a feeling there was something he really ought to know about the other him, but that wasn't going to be easy to figure out. It was just a feeling, but maybe it was worth noticing. He'd have to find out somehow.

"No," he said, tersely, "there can't be two Robins."

He wondered, and not for the first time, if Batman was from the same place as this Tim. It didn't seem to be that way, based on their few interactions, but...what if? The thought made him uneasy, although it didn't show.
