I love, love True Blood, the TV show. Anna Paquin is just so adorable and perfect in the Sookie Stackhouse role. I used to think that the guy who plays Bill was too cadaverous, but I'm finding him kind of hot in all the recent love scenes. I'm wondering how faithful they're going to stay to the book.

I know the new cover is from the promo ads HBO did for the show. :) When I pick up the book though, I'm going for the old, because not all of the books in the series will have that HBO cover. :)

So I'm reading a book I think you'll love, or at least, really like: ONE FOR SORROW by Christopher Barzak. It's like THE LOVELY BONES, but not. Let me know if you get around to it. :)

Do you watch True Blood? I don't normally get that into TV shows, but I really like it. I found the original covers very off-putting. I think they sort of have a folksy, "Halloween design on a holiday sweater your grandma would wear" feel, which doesn't suit the book at all.

The Lovely Bones is one of my favorites, so I may have to check that one out. Thanks for the recommendation.

I haven't been able to because I don't get HBO. But hopefully, they'll release the series on iTunes and I can watch it there...

I see what you mean, and I won't be able to decide one way or the other until I read them. However, the covers do stand out from the traditional urban fantasy faire, so at least there's that. :)
