Dear Lisa,

It was nice having drinks with you the other evening. I talked to the landlord and he said that you could come by this Sunday or Monday to look at the open flats if you wanted. We could do dinner afterwards if you like.

Lisa smiled as she read the short note, feeling retroactively foolish for her doubts earlier in the day. She's the one who had told him this was her next day off, after all.

And, oh! With a pang, she realized that he'd gone to this trouble for nothing. Now that she'd committed to the other place, she wouldn't need to see the ones in his building. Still, she couldn't have known she would have stumbled into the place today. And he'd understand completely when he saw it. She'd just have to make it up to him, is all.

Zach read the letter with a grin, happy that she had found a place that she liked. He was rather pleased that she still wanted to have dinner with him.

Dear Lisa,

Congratulation on finding a flat. I would love to still have you over for dinner.Tomorrow is great! Is there anything you can't or don't like eating? I usually go to the market on my way home from work so everything will be fresh.
