Characters: Theo Nott and OPEN Location: Leaky Cauldron Date: July 25, 2000, evening Status/Warning: Public/None Summary: Theo's attempting to be sociable in public Completion: Incomplete
She walked the aisles of the bookstore one last time before she finished up checking out of the register. Once everything was in order, Tracey put up the wards and left the store. Not feeling like heading home right away, she walked down the street, stepping into the Leaky Cauldron.
She saw two empty stools at the bar, one of them was next to Theo Nott. Crossing over, she took the stool by him. "Theo. How are you?"
Theo recognized Tracey as she walked in, and nodded to her as she took the seat next to him. "Tracey. Doing well. And yourself?" He was mellow enough to go for politeness over snark, it seemed. He even gave a slight smile.
As she took her seat, she ordered a glass of firewhiskey over ice. "I'm doing well. More settled into my position now." A glass was slid in front of her. "Tell me what you've been up to."
"You're at Flourish and Blotts, yes?" He recalled seeing her there a time or two. "Gearing up for the school rush I imagine."
He sipped his pint. "Well, mostly continuing work at St. Mungo's, though I've been getting more involved in Sins of the Father. You've heard of it, I assume." He was still cautious in how he presented that information, but Daphne made it a lot easier on him.
