Hermione was in a quandary. She'd just come from Obscurus Books where Mr. Worme, the publisher, had once again tried to talk her into fact checking a book on the war. At least this time, the subject wasn't one that involved Harry. It was a profile of Hogwarts during the year Voldemort had control of the Ministry and school. The book was exploring the situation there and the impact on the staff and students. Hermione had wanted to turn it down on principle but Mr. Worme had convinced her to read the introduction and a bit of the first chapter. She had to admit it was a compelling and potentially important piece of work. She'd agreed to read the manuscript before making her final decision. After signing the standard confidentiality contract, she was handed a large envelope with the book and additional information from the author to review. Hermione tucked the material into her satchel and told the publisher she'd be in touch by Monday.
She made her way through Diagon Alley to the market by Gringott's to pick up a few things she and Harry were getting low on and something special for dinner tomorrow. Hermione always started with the veg, since it was easier to decide on a meat if she knew what vegetables were available and fresh.
