Athena sat up on her bed, reading the latest issue of The Prophet, glad her infection was gone, but wishing they’d let her go home already. They were making her stay an extra night ‘just in case’. She thought it was codswallop. She needed to be back at work, not stuck in some hospital room with nothing to do.
Her injuries were nearly gone and while she would have to take it easy for a few more days, she’d prefer to be stuck at her boring desk than here. She never thought she’d miss desk work.
Athena wanted it to be tomorrow already, so she could be in her own bed.
