This show is absolutely perfect. If you like that kind of thing. It's almost like what Heroes could have been had they had just one single decent writer. And if Heroes were obscenely vulgar and edgy and okay this show is nothing like Heroes. The only thing it has in common is that the characters each have some sort of special ability. These kids aren't heroes in any sense of the word, but they're not villains either. This show sits happily in the wide grey area between right and wrong, and yet all it seems alright, to the point where it's almost normal.
ALSO IT'S GORGEOUS OKAY. Ever single screen shot is like a perfect piece of expert photography. This picspam pretty much made itself.
Curtis: I’m sorry.
Sam: Are you finishing with me?
Curtis: And you’re going to ask me why and I can’t tell you! There are things going on with me, things I can’t tell you about. No matter what I do, the ones I love will be the ones who pay.
Sam: Is that from Spider-man?
Curtis: What?
Nathan: If you could see yourselves. We had it all. We have fucked up bigger and better than any generation that came before us. We were so beautiful... we're screw-ups. I plan on staying a screw-up until my late twenties, or maybe even my early thirties. And I will shag my own mum before I let her, or anyone else take that away from me!
Alisha: You should come out with us some time.
Curtis: I would you know but, my mum told me to stay away from girls like you.
Alisha: Your mum has never met a girl like me.
Kelly: What makes you think you're better than us?
Nathan: What is that accent? Is that for real? What, are you trying to say something? It’s… That’s just a noise. Are we supposed to be able to understand her?
Simon: I can’t let you go to the police.
Sally: Simon, you don’t owe them anything.
Simon: …They're the only friends I got.
