dangit, i really thought we had a shot at making it to the final four, and even the finals, and even to win. but our game was so off! we made freaking 27% of our shots overall when its usually at least in the 50s, it was terrible. jj tied his season low of 11 points, scoring about 17 below his average (totally not blaming it on him, their ( Read more... )

That actually sounds a lot like our loss to GMU. Just below their performance level.

Then again, I think the lower seeded teams have been catching people off guard this year. GMU, Wichita State, Bradley, and more are just tearing the higher seeds apart. Hell, Albany took a big chunk out of UConn in the first round. I think this has just been a close year.

*raises hand* Stanford's been surprising the mess out of everyone. I don't know if it's the same tournament, but we're definitely at least two rounds beyond where anyone expected us to get to. And one of the LA schools (can't remember if it was USC or UCLA) that everyone expected to get pretty far was out against us in one of the first rounds. Wooo. (? ... the only reason I know this at all is 'cause this means most of the band's in San Antonio at the moment ::halo::)
