To make myself feel better about my persistent absence...

Sep 27, 2009 21:24

...I am posting some of the better short fic I've been dishing out mercilessly in moments of extraordinary procrastination, and prefacing it with belated encouragement to go read and vote at redshirt_roster , since we haven't had enough yet to determine this week's winner and loser.

In no particular order --

For "the best damn drabble fest in the 'verse" at where_no_woman , ( Read more... )

character: pike, character: number one, pairing: pike/number one, i should probably start tagging things, character: amanda, fanfiction

HI YOU. And I very much condone the use of technically inappropriate but extremely flattering adjectives like super-delicious, thank you. :'D

THEY ARE SO ADORABLE. <33

Oh holy mother of all ficlets! All these are quite, quite lovely, but that first? *shivers*

She pushes herself up from his chest, spine curving up like a stretching cat's, and kisses his forehead before he can get out the first syllable of a protest. Her hair falls forward as she inclines her head, veiling the juncture formed by their open mouth. Their faces are still stinging with the chill of a desert night, but they are sewn together at the lips, and they share unspoken, yearning heat from throat to throat.

Her hair is thick and fine and mussed. At the heart of each delicate tangle, a little light penetrates in slivers, shaped like stars.

Wow. Just wow. Wow.

You are so astonishingly good at describing the moment as it is experienced, I cannot EVEN.

And oh, Pike/Number One may be my favorite pairing I've never written (unless it's Pike/Kirkparents). I adore the changes you've rung, and how it took what, seven words into the middle one for you to make it perfectly clear it's Mirrorverse?

Oh, you. You please me very much indeed when you say my obsessive detailing pays off, you know.

Hah, I was worrying today at school too that perhaps I should have specified which verse like a sane person, but if the accoutrements of sexy, sexy evil were enough to tip you off immediately, that's both more gratifying and far preferable for my lazy self. :'D

I ACTUALLY KNEW WHO AMANDA WAS. (At first I thought perhaps you were writing about me. And I was thinking, "My goodness, this is strangely creepy," but then I remembered that Amanda is Spock's mom APIEPAIRNPE IJAPRIEJPNZDJNFD I KNEW SOMETHING ABOUT STAR TREK ARE YOU NOT INCREDIBLY PROUD OF ME?) Lovely. And...still creepy. And I have no idea what is happening. Inverted birth? I know nothing about Vulcans. Ah well. Sounds painful. *dies in a heap of Kleenex*

I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU, YOU SICK NITWIT WHO SHOULD NOT BE TESTING HER CONSTITUTION ON THE INTERNET.

Also: uh, she's falling into the fiery core of an imploding planet, hence quote unquote inverted birth. IT'S CANON. :'D
