Hmm, yes, this episode WAS fairly retarded, wasn't it? Or at least I remember just thinking "[totallynotsarcasm]Oh gee, how utterly breathtaking.[/totallynotsarcasm]" when I first saw it.
Hey, people, stop bashing one of my most favourite episode of Frontier. It is so funny, especially Takuya and Kouji but it has some good moments for Tomoki either. Plus I just can't have enough of hamburgers XD
>implying the concept of "filler" only applies to adaptations of manga
Any episode/arc that doesn't contribute in any way whatsoever towards the overall plot qualifies as filler in my book. The creators are told "hey, make a 50 episode anime", and use such episodes to fill some blanks.
I haven't been keeping up with your Frontier subs, but does any lasting character development occur this episode? If so, than it can't really be called filler, can it?
Now if no (lasting) character development occurs, then that's a different story. If that's the case, are any new tidbits of backstory revealed at least?
Is it just me, or is Livejournal hiding some comments? Because it's only showing 7 comments for this post and the previous post, even though I know there are more than 7 comments on each.
