Things in Dalian are going well.  Its been a pretty low-key summer-I haven't spent a lot of time with my friends.  I don't have a problem keeping myself company.  Actually sometimes I revel in being left to my own devices.  Ever since I was little, I greatly valued my 'alone time

I crave my solitude sometimes too :). Sometimes my solitude is not fully based on my choice of being alone, but I find pleasure in my own company too.

It's weird because the people I've met in China, especially the women, can not quite appreciate alone time. They think I am a little odd when I tell them that sometimes I like spending my afternoons by myself.

hi five for yonkers people. pretty much every one i run into is doing really good for themselves. really busting their asses to get ahead, and they realize and appreciate it, unlike people who have everything handed to them.

Don't worry about me. I am fine. Those situations unfortunately are quite common (except for the killing part). I work for a university, and universities tend to honor their contracts more so than private schools.
