Chell released Wheatley and regarded GLaDOS intently, while Wheatley’s iris stared blankly forward, contracted to a tiny point. “You mean I’m stuck like this?”
“What I mean is I can’t fix you here. I don’t have any of the materials responsible for constructing a new iris. There’s a repair station in the lower levels that can, but it’s cut off from the rest of the facility.” GLaDOS was speaking in short, clipped sentences, clearly peeved at admitting there was something beyond her power to do. Chell found her mouth twisting into a slight smirk quite without permission from her brain. “I’m not sure what’s down there, if it’s even accessible, or even if its working. I tried to send Blue and Orange down there, but after three violent disassemblies, I decided that it was a bit much for them to handle. So, if you want him fixed again, you’re going to have to go down there,” she swiveled to face Chell as she did, bathing the human in the light of her golden optic ( ... )
