I think we can all agree that the turrets, normal, defective, or different, are freaking adorable.

So I want a lone, curious, and possibly baby-like turret thrown into the mix. This can go two ways:

1) The turret follows Chell around. It isn't hurting her so she sees no reason in hurting it. It eventually becomes another source of tangible comfort (she protects it, cradles it, etc. Bonus for slightly jealous Wheatley and GLaDOS berating her for this unusual bond)

2) The turret follows ATLAS and P-Body. And they sort of adopt it. ATLAS/P-Body ensues, trying to be parents (especially P-Body being all motherly, since she herself is a modified turret) but definitely not in the traditional sense.

I just need fluff in my life. Either one of these would be wonderful C:

How would the turret follow her? I've only seen them able to move their legs when they're mashed into Wheatley's Frankenturret boxes - are you thinking of something like that?

ohjeeze you're right. Uh, that was a big boo boo on my part. Follow wasn't really the right word to use @_@

I guess it could modified. More like a different turret, just like the Oracle one, where it just makes itself stand out among the rest. And Chell or P-Body and ATLAS can carry it around ( I could imagine the latter doing so, it'd be easier for them)

Thanks for pointing that out

I totally imagined something like in the horror movies where you see the turret and it's far away, and the you look away and look back and it's right behind you.

Or for some strange reason that particular one shows up in every test chamber.

“Stay close,” Wheatley warned her. Chell didn’t need to be reminded twice-the turret factory had already set her on edge. She was just waiting for the telltale sound of a turret locking on, or a chirpy little voice saying, I SEE YOU, and that would be the end of her. The fact that she could hear their voices echo across the factory didn’t ease her agitation.

She didn’t understand why GLaDOS decided that they had to have little kid voices. It was WAY too off-putting to be shot at by something that sounded like a three year old.

Babababa…

Chell jumped. It sounded like a turret.

Babababa! It was louder this time, and coming from behind a corner.

Chell stiffened up. Great. A new turret. Well, whatever GLaDOS had set up for her, she wouldn’t fall for it, even if it was a ‘disabled’ turret or it had a new voice box or whatever she had planned for her. She put her thumb on the portal gun trigger and prepared to fire at whatever was behind the corner ( ... )
